Sorrows of Adoration

Sequel Notes

I have a partially constructed outline at this time for a sequel to Sorrows of Adoration. I don't have a title for it yet.

The second book will focus on Aenna's daughter, Kaelinna, or Kae to her friends. Kae is a warrior, despite the scandal of a female taking up a sword, and a princess at that. Worse, she's good at fighting, and regularly hands ass-whippings to men who think they can best her just because she's a girl.

When the time comes for Kae to have a Champion assigned to her, she will be less than pleased, to put it lightly.

Kae will witness the perils of love around her, and decide that she wants no part of that nonsense. Unfortunately, we all know that life doesn't work out that way! Love will come to her, and she too will suffer for it. When it goes wrong for her, she'll turn her despair and anger into bloodshed and revenge. I don't want to give spoilers away, but let's just say that she'll be going to war against the Wusul.

I don't like writing or reading long battle scenes, so although fighting will be important to the story, I plan to minimize descriptions of the battles and focus instead on important elements and the outcomes.

At the moment, my pick for the theme song for this book is "Love Song for a Vampire" by Annie Lennox from "Bram Stoker's Dracula: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack." No, there are no vampires in the story. Look up the lyrics online and you'll see there's no mention of a vampire. The song is about the obsession of lost love.
