Graphic Descriptions

For those people who cannot see the few graphics on this page and wish to have more information beyond what is in the ALT tag, and who cannot access the LONGDESC information with each graphic, the LONGDESC information can be found here.

Please note that I have tried to avoid animated gifs wherever possible, but some sites only offer animated gifs for graphics.

On the top of every page:

• One-Click Charity Check: A Resource for Supporters of One-Click Charities
  • This is the logo for One-Click Charity Check, including the slogan: A Resource for Supporters of One-Click Charities. Blue circles with red checkmarks appear on either side of the centred text.

Graphics in the left hand navigation column:

• Open Directory Cool Site
  • The words Open Directory Cool Site appear on either site of a golden star.
• A-Prompt A
  • A-Prompt symbol for level A conformance. A green checkmark in a rainbow logo is on the left. On top are the words A-Prompt in black bold. Underneath is a large green capital A.

  • The W3C logo is on the left side, and on the right is text that says HTML 4.01 with a checkmark beside it.

  • The W3C logo is on the left side, and on the right is text that says CSS with a checkmark beside it.
• Level A conformance icon, W3C-WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0
  • The W3C logo is on the left side, and on the right is text that says WAI-A WCAG 1.0.
• Labelled with ICRA
  • This graphic features the ICRA logo on the left side, with text that says ICRA on the right side.
• SafeSurf Rated
  • This graphic features the SafeSurf logo (a lock riding an ocean wave) on the left side, with text that says SafeSurf Rated on the right side.
• Best viewed with ANY browser
  • This graphic makes a play on the typical graphics that declare a page to be best viewed with Netscape or Internet Explorer. It combines the logos from those browsers and instead says 'best viewed with any browser.
• Made With Notepad
  • The notepad.exe icon with the words Made with Notepad around it.
• 2001-2002 Golden Web Award
  • A gold trophy is shown on a blue background with a spider web motif. Text says: 2001-2002 Golden Web Award.

• I Want Clean Air
  • The I Want Clean Air logo. It is simply the site's name in black script.
• Ecology Fund
  • The Ecology Fund logo. It shows a leaf of two shades of green along with the site name in white, black and green text.
• Save The Rainforest Net
  • The Save The Rainforest Net logo. The site name appears in large text, with .net flashing at the bottom in this animated gif.
• Tree 4 Life
  • The Tree 4 Life logo. Two trees that have stick people for trunks are above the site's name in red. Below that is black text with the site's URL, www.tree4life.com. The whole graphic is enclosed in partial grey ovals.
• Cancer Charities
  • The Cancer Charities logo. It shows four children of different nationalities holding hands, forming a ring around the world. The site name is at the bottom in blue text.
• Stop HIV

  • The Life Saver Program button. It is a live preserver, as in the plastic rings on ships.
• The Birth Site

• Clear Land Mines

• Solve Poverty

• Free Donation
  • The Free Donation logo. It is red and blue text saying the site's name.
• Poverty Fighters

• Race for the Rain Forest

• Eco Solidarity

• Aid for Teens
  • Blue and black text that says, Aid For Teens.com, Help get struggling teens off the street, FREE...Click here.
• Give a Minute
  • Purple and black text that says, Tarahumara Children's Hospital Fund on hte left side, with additional text on the right that says, Help a Child, giveaminute.org, Web page sponsors pay for one minute of hospital care when you visit our site.
• Click the Planet
  • Blue and green text that says, Click the Planet.
• The Hunger Site
  • The Hunger Site button. It is gold coloured with a white wheat logo, and has the words Click to Donate Free Food at the bottom.
• The Breast Cancer Site
  • The Breast Cancer Site button. It is pink with a white ribbon logo, and has the words Early Detection Saves Lives at the bottom.
• The Rain Forest Site
  • The Rain Forest Site button. It is green with a white fern logo, and has the words Click to Donate Land - Free at the bottom.
• Against Hunger

• Race for the Primates
  • A photo of a chimpanzee with text that says Save the Primates! Every click feeds a hungry primate. Click today, it's free!
• Button for The Child Health Site

• The Environment Site
